Oddities of the Victorian Era

For the past 8 years I have had the pleasure of working at the Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco, www.dickensfair.com . This is a Victorian themed fair that takes place in the streets of London. Actually, the historic Cow Palace is transformed for 4 weeks into a world of cancan shows, corsets, chestnuts roasting, and Victorian oddities. I have become fascinated with finding "weird" items from this era. Here are a few of them:

ROW Collective Grand Opening

We can hardly believe it. ReCultivation has teamed up with our friend Ricala, www.ricala.etsy.com, to create ROW Collective. This is our new workshop studio and store front in Santa Cruz California. Last night we participated in First Friday Santa Cruz, a monthly art exhibit.
We officially have our grand opening tomorrow. Was is ROW Collective you ask? Well, us three ladies are creating new art, jewelry and of course ReCultivation's vintage will there as well. What an amazing adventure we have had so far.

Celebrating ReCultivation's 1st Year

We are so proud of our vintage and handmade shop, ReCultivation. It has been a little over a year now that we took the plunge and became part of the Etsy community. There was SO much to learn, figure out and just when we think we had it, there was more. If you also have a shop, then you know the limitless time and effort it takes to market your shop on Etsy. Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, making treasuries, taking photos, and it goes on.
Bottom line is we do what we do because we love what we are doing. Give us the smell of vintage over a 9-5 desk job anytime. So without further ado, follow us on twitter: www.twitter.com/RECULTIVATION or on Facebook: Recultivation vintage and handmade baubles....and THANK YOU
